Does a model need LOS to attack another model in melee?

0

No. The rules for this are similar to the LOS rules but with an important difference. Any intervening model will block the attack regardless of its base size. To make a melee attack you must be able to draw a line from any portion of the attacking models base through its front arc to any portion of the target’s base that is in melee range of the weapon being used. This line may not cross an obstruction or another models base.
