Does a mechanic need a full motor trade policy?
A motor trade policy is designed for a car dealer and the insurance requirements of a car dealer are different to that of a mechanic. A car dealer may need dozens of his own cars insured. A mechanic will normally only need one plus his customers’ cars. We have a motor trade policy specially designed for motor mechanics which reflects the much reduced risk of a motor mechanic and of course normally at a much lower premium.
