Does a Low Carb Diet Really Work?
As you can see, while a good majority of the low carb diets promote a healthy alternative to loosing weight, most will do the exact opposite. Many times these diets are much too strict, not sustainable, and make your life miserable as your body does not function properly without carbs causing also headaches, irritability and loss of sleep. Low carb diets will actually cause you to gain weight after the initial weight loss. It all comes down to the basics, if you would like to loose weight than it’s important not only to eat well balanced low fat meals, but also exercise because both promote not only physical health but a healthy metabolism. I too was drawn in by the Low Carb Diet promises. While I initially lost pounds with both the South Beach and Atkins diet, I eventually gained the weight and 20 more pounds back. So two weight loss programs and 20 pounds later, I wasn’t only back to the starting line, but back to the locker room!!
