Does a Line Set Ticket show the full VIN?
Yes. The line ticket will show the full VIN on Scouts built after 1965. The 6 numbers of the VIN (before the G) is the model code and are printed at the top of the Line Set immediately to the left of where the Serial Number is indicated. These codes indicate the model, engine, 4×2 or 4×4 and type of top the Scout was built with. Use the table to determine the relative month and year in which a Scout was manufactured. Compare the Serial Number portion of the VIN to those with known build dates.
