Does a Laser Inspector or D4000 w/laser provide a “letter grade”?

No – not in respect to the situation where the letter grade means the ANSI/ISO Overall Symbol grade. The laser modes for RJS portable verifiers provide traditional types of analyses. They do however include one of the ANSI/ISO parameters called Decodability (“d/bility” shown on the LCD) and this is displayed as a calculation value and a letter grade. This is one of the parameters that create an overall symbol grade and is useful for checking bar and space print accuracy in conjunction with the avg. bar deviation calculation.
