Does a job as a make-up consultant at Clinique or similar place require special training?
As a licensed cosmetologist…when working at a make-up counter at the mall you don’t need a license because you’re not supposed to touch their faces yourself…you’re supposed to show them how to apply it themselves. But I enjoy being a Mary Kay Cosmetics Consultant. You don’t need a license for that either, but you’re self-employed and work the schedule you want and get everything 50% off. You can even earn a company car, and you’re never denied a job because of the way you look. You just have to make sure you are applying your products so that everyone can ask you where you get your make-up and who taught you how to wear it. Your face does your job for you!!!
