Does a hysterectomy lead to poor sexual function in women?
Although a very small minority of gynecologists try to argue that leaving the cervix while taking out the uterus during a hysterectomy preserves sexual function better, the vast majority of us have not seen any data or evidence in studies to prove that such is true. In other words, as long as the clitoris is still there and the women has adequate estrogen and testosterone, sexual function should not significantly change. In other words, uterine spasm contributes little to orgasm.
