Does a FOWLR aquarium need a protein skimmer?
I don’t want to sound rude but you really need to do some more research. A protein skimmer is a great addition to any marine aquarium, they are not required but do a great job at keeping the water clean. Also when I say clean I don’t mean clear, just because a tank is clear doesn’t mean that it is clean. I would also invest in a water testing kit, not the cheap strips but the ones that have drops, or you can go to a pet store and have it done, for a pet store I recommend a ma ‘n pop store, or one that is privately owned and operated not Pet Smart or Pet Co. With the light these tanks need very strong lighting, if you are planning on just having clown go with a marine-glo bulb or something of that sort. You mean need to get creative when it comes to this as it seems like there is not a full florescent bulb in that fixture. I’m just curious do you know how to cycle a marine tank?
