Does a creation myth always have to have a god in it?
No. A “myth” is a traditional story, generally but not necessarily dating from pre-literate times, dealing with supernatural beings, ancestors or heroes representing the forces that shape reality. The ever-changing “scientific” account of creation, when reduced to a little over-simplified story, could be called a godless creation myth.
