Does a Computer Class Designed for Pre-Service Teachers Work?.

0

The purpose of this study is to understand pre-service teachers’ expectations and needs for the computer class provided, and to know if the pre-service teachers make progress in the different computer programs taught in a one-credit class. Two self-assessment sheets were used in the first and the last class periods in the Spring 2004 semester. Some students were interviewed after taking this class. The outcome of this study shows the success of the computer class. This study can also provide higher education institutions that offer or are going to offer computer classes for pre-service teachers with some information for the design or redesign of an effective and preferable computer class.
