No. If the practitioner who completes the CAF with the parent, child or young person is aware of the services available and different types of methods to employ to achieve the desired outcomes with the child then there is no need to take it to a MAP or TAC. If however the practitioner is unsure of the services available, would like some advice or consultation, or would like a team of professionals to oversee intervention and allocate a Lead Professional, if the practitioner is unable to take on this coordinating role for the child and family, then the completed CAF should go to panel and they will action plan to meet the needs and desired outcomes detailed in the CAF.
