Does a civil engineering degree require drawing skills cos i really cant draw help pls?
Technical drawing is more of an acquired skill such as spelling or speaking. Certainly it comes more naturally to some with that bent, but it is something that you can learn with giving it your best and being open to suggestions for improvement. Technical drawing is quite different than the art expected from an artist or an architect. I do not mean to downplay this skill, it is important in the Civil engineering industry. It is the main means by which you communicate very complex ideas to someone who is supposed to then construct your vision. This detailed and challenging task is a learned skill and is not expected of you when you first graduate college. See it as an opportunity to improve your communication rather than a barrier to a career. On a side note, as you progress toward becoming a professional you will want to begin to phase out the use of text style spelling in most of your daily business. Even something as informal as Yahoo Answers deserves your best spelling, grammar, and
