I think his previous experience was acting as a community organizer and a state senator. I want to be fair here. Hillary Clinton NEVER held office before she ran for the US Senate representing New York; what’s odd is that she wasn’t even really a New Yorker, but since New York has always been in love with the Clintons, she won by an overwhelming margin. Republicans in New York basically gave her a “pass” (well she actually did run against a fresh-faced Rep. Rick Lazio, but no one- probably not even he himself- gave him a chance). Furthermore, no candidate knows everything, so all of them will require some acclamation. Therefore, I would contend that the question is not how much, or what experience is needed, because none of it is directly applicable. The question should instead be: who has the best skills. If you think skills derive from experiece, then McCain should only ha
