Does a Brow Lift Alone Alleviate Droopy Upper Lids ?
Maybe ! Some patients have pure brow ptosis and no other eyelid pathology; in these patients a brow lift alone will give a substantial change to symptoms and appearance. However a significant number of patients have co-existant dermatochalasis ( Excess eyelid Skin )or true Blepharoptosis ( Upper Eyelids lower than Normal ) and may require a blepharoplasty ( upper lid reduction ) and/or blepharoptosis repair ( Procedure to elevate the upper lid ). All 3 procedures can be performed at the same time , but in preference the brow elevation is performed first with the blepharoplasty/Blepharoptosis repair a couple of months later.
