Does a 2006 Toyota Corolla with automatic transmission have a transmission drain plug?

2006 Corolla CE, AT. Well I just bought the car and had a chance to look. Yes it does have a drain plug. Most automatic transmissions DO NOT have a drain plug, you have to drop the whole pan to change the fluid/filter. I spoke with the service guy at the dealership when I bought some Toyota ATF. He said that this transmission is different because it has a drain plug and has NO filter. It only has a mesh, which is cleaned by the reverse flow of fluid when you pull the plug. A total flush is recommended when it is needed, but pulling the plug drains 3.2-3.3 quarts, total capacity is 8 quarts, so draining the pan removes 41% of the fluid. By doing an easy drain and fill every 20k miles, you keep your fluid twice as clean. A: Look under the transmission’s pan. Your better off flushing it out since simply draining the pan only gets about 25% of the fluid out!!!!!!!!
