Does a 1994 Ford Explorer have CV joints or U joints?
first it depends on if it is 4-wheel drive or 2-wheel drive, then if it is 2-wheel then you only have u-joints and only 2 of them that sould be no more than an hour labor parts should be about $40 each as a safe est. if it is 4-wheel then take the previous est. and then add if it truely has bad cv joints which is rare your best bet is replacement cv shafts and then plan on about $130 to $140 a shaft quick way to find out which is bad if you have 4wd drive in a circle if the cv joints are bad they will pop as your turning if your u-joints are bad then either listen for a hollow tube pop while going into drive or reverse, a squeek noise while driving.
