Does 5720 need Arctic Silver?
I discovered this computer by browsing the powernotebooks.com website, i’d never heard of Sager before. Quickly fell in love with it, and have ordered one from them to be here soon (2.0MHz, 2GB RAM, 80GB 7200rpm). However, before I found it i’d been looking at other powernotebooks models and noticed a lot of them gave the option to have Arctic Silver applied for $50 (seems like a lot, but I’d definitely pay to avoid doing it myself). So i was suprised that the Sager didn’t offer this option. I’d thought maybe powernotebooks were putting the arctic silver on themselves, but it seems of course that it’s a manufacturer option, which Sager does not offer. Is this really a big deal? One reason why I chose the 5720 was because of the Pentium M and lower heat output – my current lappy is a 3.0 Pentium 4 and it really overheats, especially during gameplay.
