Live tv channel streams are usually high quality or average resolution. And most of the time they are also prerecorded. Usually they will have a larger dedicated server to push their signal. There is probably gonna be more people surfing Youtube than there are watching live tv streams as well. There really isn’t a quality control on everything being the same resolution however channels like Hulu and such are going to usually be a common resolution coming from fewer sources. Youtube videos are uploaded by the millions of users that use Youtube meaning a larger variety in source files so there is more variation in the video bit rate and resolution per user upload not saying that you can’t view a high res video on Youtube, just that there are alot more low res videos as well. You may want to play the youtube video and pause the video giving it time to buffer, and then coming back to view the video after it has finished buffering.
