Do You Travel Far and Eat Odd Things?
Do You Travel Far and Eat Odd Things? Tuesday October 21, 2008It’s not that I qualify to join Andrew Zimmern in his unending quest to find the hairiest insects to boil up and eat, but I’ve chowed down on a few things in my day that would bring a lump to the throats of the terminally squeamish I’m sure. There was a goat head in Greece, a slab of whale in Norway, and, besides the Sardinian Maggot Cheese, there was this pig’s ear fished out of a big fava bean stew and shoved at me by a Sardinia who said it was considered the best part. How could I refuse? But maybe you’ve been some place where you’ve recorded yourself eating something truly worthy of the moniker “bizarre”. Well, I have some good news for you: Andrew is looking for a one-time sidekick for a Bizarre Foods episode he’s doing. Fame could be yours. See: Are You Bizarre Enough For TV?. Good luck!
