Do you think young children should be banned from televised talent shows?
In an ideal world, a parent should be able to judge whether their child is mature enough to cope with failure or rejection. But based on tonight one cannot rely on parents to make this decision objectively as their own ambitions are paramount. Therefore a minimum age is needed; I would say 14. If these kids really have a special talent it will only develop during these years. If all they had was precosity it doesn’t do them any favours to over-promote them so young as it will not last.
