I don’t think so because we like to keep the traditional version. If it was re-written people will want to read that and soon as you know it the whole Shakespeare collection would be in slang. And the old English being read will increase children’s potential in speaking.

Oh, absolutely not! Shakespeare’s stories aren’t just stories. They’re poetry! To change anything about them would really just be destroying the work that he created.

no, even though i have never read Shakespeare because i can’t find any books about him, but if it is rewritten in modern day english, it will ruin the affect.

No, then they wouldn’t be Shakespeare’s “stories”, they would be a modern adaptation. You would ruin the entire aesthetic if you simply rewrote them to make them easier for lazy modern readers.
