Do you think the labour party will swing left after the next election?
There are so few socialists left in the ruins of the Labour Party that this is far from guaranteed. If they returned, that is certainly what would happen. Incidentally, they didn’t swing to the centre, but to the very extreme economic right. Obeying their employers’ orders, some might say. And now their employers are deserting them. Not that it matters to the insiders of the political caste, who have made their pile. The others must be feeling extremely bitter. Pity the penny took so long to drop.
