Do you think the Confederate Flag should be banned form schools?
I have always thought it was strange the pride people take in that flag, it basically represents the south at the time it wanted to be its own nation, it lost, badly, and the flag is just like any other flag It represents the fact that your state tried to leave the union, and got soundly beaten, tie in slavery etc etc – it could represent the vanquished This could be the start of an arguement.. I would think that certain people in history, such as Lincoln (maybe) would describe the showing of that flag in a public place as “un-american”. It was the flag the south tried to cede from the Union. I assume you are from the ‘south’, if not, that could be your argument… EDIT: I know when people who support the flag do not think of the civil war when they see it, everyone else on the planet does.
