Do you think the attacks of the world trade center messed up the economy?

Absolutely… that was the big talk at the time. It was expected to put us into a recession. It didn’t and there was much talk that another attack right afterwards would put us into a major depression. I don’t think it caused this economy we have now… I’m sure it contributed to it some. If you lived during the time you will realize that everyone stopped what they were doing. Gasmasks were bought by even little old ladies. You couldn’t get one. People were not shopping and of course Wall Street was a mess. It didn’t last long, but the economy certainly was a fear and considered the one thing the terrorist tried to damage most.
