CJunk, your point is well taken. I think we Christians are so convinced of the truthfulness of it that we often take certain things for granted; such as thinking that nonbelievers equate belief in Christ as belief in a supreme being. I believe most of the time when someone is saying that it takes more faith to be an atheist than a Christian, what they are really comparing is the difference in believing in no God as opposed to believing in a Supreme Being and are not referring to the specifics of the Christian religion. Sure if you want to take it further and get into deeper theology regarding the fallen state of man, the evidences for the resurrection of Christ, the testimony of the apostles, etc, a case may still be able to be made specifically regarding Christianity taking less faith than atheism , but I do’nt believe this is the way it is meant, but only that it takes more faith in believing there is no intelligence behind ultimate origins as opposed to believing that there is a Sup
