No! The human race evolved from a common ancestor with the apes. Their evolution into the modern form occurred in Africa. The original ancestors of modern humans would have been black, as the modern Africans still are. The blackness is caused by melanin in the skin to protect the individual from the strong rays of the sun in that location. Subsequently a small population migrated out of Africa and into Europe and Asia where they evolved traits to adapt to local conditions. Europeans lost the melanin their ancestors had because it interfered with the formation of vitamin D in the northern climes of Europe where the sun is weaker than in the original African homeland. I see that @Martin S used your question as a forum for his creationism. All of his arguments are way out of date and have been repeatedly refuted. For example, @Martin S referred to what Solly Zuckerman said about Australopithecus. In fact, Solly Zuckerman lost his argument that Australopithecus was an ape back in the 1950′
