It would still exist. Sure kids could be better educated in economics but that wouldn’t kill off the debate it would probably encourage it (and a good thing that would be as well). If education establishments were to simply teach one economic viewpoint that would be incredibly worrying. Even within those broad categories there is a huge amount of debate on what is the best economic model. Education shouldn’t be indoctrination.

No. [Firstly, let us exclude Communism from Socialism]. They are the two ends of the dial of social conscience. Just as there is no perfect volume to play a record, there is no perfect average between kill-all-who-stand-in-your-way Capitalism and no-one-should-have-more-than-anyone-else Socialism. Both extremes are transparently wrong – but the where the “sweet spot” between them is, nobody knows.
