Do you think that political correctness is a way of restricting the human right freedom of expression?

Yes, I do and it’s been used by all political parties. Slightly-off topic, I taught a course on Lincoln yesterday to high school students. In our discussion of civil liberties, it is important to remember that were curtained by President Washington during Shay’s rebellion; President Lincoln during the Civil War; President Roosevelt’s actions against Americans of Japanese descent and President Bush with the Patriot Act. Political correctness can be used positively as common courtesy (don’t use insulting names for other races) or negatively to curtain free speech. As you may know, there was recently a broadcast “journalist” who attacked Mexicans for Swine flu plus women with “mustaches” and a lot of other weird, negative stuff. It was literally one of the more stupid statements I have ever heard, but the broadcaster was suspended. I think his statement was idiotic, but he should not have been censored for it.
