Do you think that mechanic Doug Pelmear has really invented a vehicle that gets 110 mpg?
I can not say for sure whether this is a hoax or not, but there are many “red flags” that show this story to conform to a pattern of gas millage scams. First, I could find no evidence that he has had any of his claims independently verified. I can understand the need for secrecy, but that can not be used as a shield for the lack of evidence of any of his claims. He could take the car out to a track, have it weighed and gassed up, and then have someone drive it around a track for 10 hours, and re-weigh the car. All this is accomplished without ever opening the hood. Second, there are plenty of honest scientists that could be brought in to verify the claims, and be sworn to secrecy about the invention. Most scientists and engineers are highly ethical people who would not divulge his secrets. Third, the 87 Mustang is a heavy car, and not very aerodynamic. We do not know the extent of his modifications to the car, but they would have to be extensive to get this car body efficient. Without
