Adolf Hitler went on trial on February 26, 1924. He was tried for treason in connection with a failed attempt to overthrow the Weimar government in the Beer Hall Putsch. Hitler was given all the time he desired to present his defense. He was eventually convicted and sentenced to three years in prison, but only served one year of that sentence. (If you were asking about a trial for the crimes he committed as leader of Germany, then he never went on trial for those.
