Well, it is her actual title so it’s a bit silly not to use it. I understand though that people are petty and God knows no-one holds onto and moans about ancient history better than a Brit can so I see why they’re hesitant to use the title.

Personally, no, I don’t think she should. It is her “official” title, but she chose not to use it, because she wanted to be liked by the public, and everyone loved Diana, so she didn’t want to offend. She has also chosen not to take the title “Queen” when Charles ascends the throne, but instead the title “Princess Consort”, like Prince Albert, the spouse of Queen Victoria.

She has chosen not to use that title out of respect for the late Princess Diana. She is known as the Duchess of Cornwall.
