Do you think televangelists or tv preachers are false prophets?
I am sure some of them are, but a lot of them are genuine. The only way you can tell, is by knowing what your Bible says and then if the preachers stick to it, then they are genuine. But if they come up with some doctrine that is not in the Bible and try to pass it off as true, then they are false prophets, simply trying to make money. Knowing God’s word is very important, for all of us. I have had friends of mine tell me the Bible says a particular thing, and even though it sounded good, it wasn’t in the Bible. So take care.
Yes, I do, and this is coming from an evangelical Christian. I have watched them, and what I often see are preachers who don’t even mention salvation through Jesus Christ, but rather get people’s emotions worked up, or they may teach heresy, such as the “Reverend” Robert Schuller, who preaches “the gospel of self-esteem” – telling people that Jesus was on an “ego trip” when He said, “I will draw all men unto Me”! Not to mention, this guy is a 33rd degree Freemason – a closet Devil-worshipper! How vile can one be? It’s apparently more important not to hurt other people’s feelings than to help them identify their own sins and ask Christ for forgiveness and salvation. Satan has many religions in the world that encourage people to be “comfortable” in their sins, which is exactly OPPOSITE of what Christ teaches.
