Do you think talk show host Dr. Phil is mean, and can be too hard on his guests?
I should get points here just because of my name. Lol. I think Dr. Phil is a very smart, deep guy. However, yes, he has become mean (I guess he is going for ratings or quite possibly his wife beats him and he is taking his anger out on his guests). I really think all therapists are basically nothing more than paid friends. Someone who truly changes usually 1. Came up with the solution on their own and 2. Then put that solution into effect. You don’t need a therapist (and to go bankrupt) for any of this.
If you think he is mean then steer clear of me, my family, and half the people in my area of the country. He may be slightly more energetic about it as he raises his voice at times so as to be heard over the target of his honesty, but that is merely being assertive and he isn’t being any meaner than most of the people I personally deal with on a daily basis. In fact, Dr. Phil is nicer than many because I have yet to see him call anybody a needle-dicked horse-cum gargler or intentionally target a person’s weak spots with the sole intent of causing emotional harm.
