Makes no difference. Most animals are “endangered” or “extinct” due to hunting or loss of habitat. If there is a reason to hunt an animal for whatever it wont matter if they are around others or night. Look at elephants. Ivory brings in money and poachers will take down an entire herd. Look at tigers, poachers love bones and skin and it does not matter if they are taking down one tiger at a time or a mother and cubs, if money is involved they will do it. With loss of habitat again it does not matter. Loss of habitat is loss of habitat and if there is none the species will die. EDIT: In just about all species the reason for being endangered is due to loss of habitat and poaching and other man related issues such as disease. If you take away all those factors and man out of the picture becoming endangered really is not an issue and natural selection takes more control once again. Overall it would still really be no difference. Animals that live in groups are designed to protect one anoth
