Do you think soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan are “keeping us safe” from Muslim terrorists?
Over 100,000 civilians have been killed in Iraq. I’d like someone to point out how many Al Qaeda terrorists have been captured or killed in comparison to that. They aren’t in wheelchairs without passports. Why would they all stick around for a war? If there was lots of terrorists there, they just moved on to Malaysia, Pakistan, or Syria, or one of the hundreds of other countries they have operations in. More defense is needed over here, not over there. We are spending over $200 million a day in Iraq alone, yet airport security can’t even keep shoe bombers from the UK and places like Nigeria off our planes. We’ve obviously allocated our resources into the wrong places. Meanwhile, we’ve affected over 100,000 families, which equals millions of people who have lost someone as a result of this war.
