I did come this far, but I do still believe the official version. Why Sirhan chose RFK in preference to the rest of US national leaders, who also supported Israel, remains a mystery to me. The death of RFK certainly contributed to the disastrous Chicago democratic convention, but really, if he had lived, Humphrey would still have been the candidate. The only winner here was Richard Nixon. If you doubt this you can try to talk to Sirhan himself, though he won’t talk to anyone else. Believe me, security guards don’t carry .22s.
