This was selected as Best Answer I passionately side with Mitchell Wikia and Google have their cross hairs set on different targets and market niches; and as such, although they will share some of their audience Google’s humongous footprint (their different products, and their share on the market) will be quite a piece to bite and will require Wikia to expand their service and develop competing applications to promote the use of their SE . Now I must state that they do have and innovative idea, that might enable them to eat up some of the cake: bringing up community , accountability and transparency to the SE table, but if my guts ain’t wrong Yahoo is for sure doing some work in the background around this (del.icio.us & Yahoo SE).
