Do you think most homeschoolers actually understand their work, or just float through with parents help?

I think they do, especially as more and more kids enter accredited homeschool programs. These homeschools actually have people who are grading the students’ papers and tests. At the high school level especially, you do have to understand what you’re learning if you want to pass the tests. Whether these students actually retain anything they learn is a completely different argument, one which can apply to public schools as well. But overall, I think that homeschoolers do understand and remember a lot of what they learn.
