Do you think Kanye West ripped off the melody from the Gummy Bear Song?
It may sound similar, but I doubt he ripped off the melody directly from this children’s song. A lot of the melodies he creates or pulls from other tracks are very basic, like the “Gummy Bear Song.” Afterwards, he will layer the song with a variety of other sounds to make it sound more dynamic. Most of the music you hear today are reproductions of other songs with slight deviations. In my opinion. Kanye’s lyrics are sloppy and unthoughtful, and his beats are basic. His older stuff was way better. Sounds like he’s just going along with the currents of the popular music business.
