Do you think Kansas Speedway is a kissing cousin to Chicagoland Speedway?
“They are similar when you look at the layout of the facilities but it drives differently. Kansas has a little less grip than Chicago. The tracks change so much every time you return there. One year, the track at Kansas does one thing and Chicago does another. They are both still relatively new race tracks but every time you go there they change a great deal.” You finished seventh in last year’s event at Kansas. How do you think you will stack up, competition wise, this weekend? “Obviously, we haven’t won a Cup race at Kansas but I feel pretty good about our chances this weekend. Although it’s late in the year, I think the CAT Racing team is starting to get a handle on things so I’m real optimistic. My approach for this race is to make sure I hit my marks and be on line in every corner, every time. The track is slick, especially for a fairly new race track, and requires a lot of concentration and focus to make sure that every lap is where you need to be.” How would you rate the No. 31
