Do you think John Travolta should have won Best Actor in 1994 for “Pulp Fiction”?
He was awesome in that film but he was overmatched. Tom Hanks won for Forest Gump and played that part great. Morgan Freeman in Shawkshank Redemption was also fantastic. There was a cut in the Shawshank redemption movie where Freeman goes from a belly laugh to outright tears in the bathroom of his post prison grocery store. That removed footage in the movie may have been his Oscar clip. Its pretty incredible. Forest Gump is definitely the most Hollywood and plays to the crowd and has no legs. Shawshank and Pulp Fiction still are incredible today and exemplify little or no Hollywood cheese.
