Yes, I think she’ll be cured of her brain tumour, that is, unless they plan to keep Izzie’s brain tumour for the whole of season 6. It has been confirmed that T.R Knight is leaving Grey’s for good, whilst Katherine Heigl is staying on for season 6. I think Izzie’s brain tumour will be cured somewhere between the beginning and middle of season 6. I do think she’ll remember and will go back to being a surgeon. Remember back in season 3 when Meredith almost died? I think this situation is some-what like this. Most people thought that Meredith would die, but why would they kill off the main character? The whole Izzie brain tumour dying thing was to give Katherine Heigl the writing she wanted, and also to keep viewers happy and in suspense, making the ratings consistant all throughout season 5.
