Do you think its sad that most women obsess about their weight?
Whoa, don’t blame women! 99% of women’s magazines emphasise on the sexiness of slimmer women; female celebrities always mention in interviews how they eat, what they eat, when and why; one ends up having virtually no self-esteem and feels that the route to that is to lose weight and be slimmer and thus be attractive. The media exploits this insecurity to the absolute limit – in other words, your life is over if you don’t look like Madonna at 50. Everyone knows it’s not true, but society has become so influenced by seeing this that if you are slightly overweight you are dismissed. I remember a quote from Tracy Anderson, celebrity trainer quite well; she said that whenever she walks past a fat person she always thinks of what she could do to them and how she could improve them.
