Do you think its good how New Zealand still upholds the culture of Maori people?

Yes, but I used to get so sick of hearing about the Treaty of Waitangi, and I think it is shocking how people treated the Prime Minister on Waitangi day (ok I wouldn’t have voted for him, but at least treat him with a little respect while he is leading us!). I think Maori people are treated amazingly espesically if you compare them to the Aboriginals across the Tasmin although things are getting better now. I think there are still improvements to be made, and I also don’t agree with someone getting a special grant because of their ethnicity. It would be considered racist if I got one as a European New Zealander, but for them it’s considered okay. I think it might be better to back programs aimed towards Maori’s but allow anyone to enter. There is still poverty and racism on both ends of the spectrum that need solving. I think things will continue to improve until everyones happy.
