Do you think in todays world Mahatma Gandhis (India) concept of Non-violence is relevant?
I am not sure what your question is asking. Is it that I support non-violence, practice non-violence, admire non-violence or what. I think it is an admirable goal, but from a practical standpoint, for everything there is a season and a time and purpose. When someone is attempting to visit harm to you or your family, well that ain’t the time for lengthy speeches.
I think that you only ever have one successful attempt at confounding authorities before other regimes take note and find ways around the new method. Take for example, the UK government’s approach to laws which would in the past have created martyrs willing to go to jail for their priciples. Now they simply automatically fine you by dipping into your financial resources without your cooperation. No opportunity to have your day in court, no confrontations with bailiff’s etc.
