Do you think DW is justified in resenting Gizmoduck when he appears in St. Canard, or is he merely jealous?
I think it’s a little of both. Darkwing really doesn’t like to have his territory infringed on, and Giz really does just butt in when he comes someplace. Plus, in “Tiff of the Titans”, he seemed to get in the way more than help, in the beginning at least. He showed up in a situation he knew nothing about, and refused to recognize that there had been a crimefighter there already who knew the enemy that they were facing. But, in Giz’s subsequent appearances – particularly “Up, Up, and Awry” – DW does seem more jealous than actually justified. Giz has superpowers, of a sort – he can therefore outdo him. So… little of both. *g* DW’s ego is too big to be justifiably as frail as it is, but it’s frail anyway, so he’s a competitive little nutter.
