Do you think continuous new scientific developments are interfering with the process of natural selection?
Yes. We think of ourselves as better off immortal, so our medical and scientific advances are constantly pushing the age limit and slowing the rate of death. I’m not saying that’s a bad thing, but when we can’t be killed as we should, natural selection can’t work as it needs. You can’t really say that without sounding bad, but I hope you know what I mean.
