No, Africa is not darker than any other continent. Many African nations have grave political difficulties. These are due to the history of these nations, which were often constituted along the lines of the European colonies, without taking into consideration ethnic borders and relations. Thus, there are many nations in Africa in which ethnic conflicts persist, making the political situation unstable (Nigeria, Kongo, Kenia, Uganda are examples, but not the only ones by far). Europe has a lot of responsibility left there, but nowadays, there are also many African politicians who are responsible for exploitation and misery.
