Do you think a hillary clinton/barack obama presidential ticket could realistically win the white house in 2008?
First off, your question is if they ran together on the same ticket, and other than putting Clinton’s name before Obama’s you don’t seem to distinguish who is the Presidential candidate and who is the VP candidate. I do think this would make a big difference, so I am going to address both scenarios. However, I am going to qualify my answer up front by saying that this ticket has almost no chance of coming about. This is because Hillary Clinton is an insider, she has a lot of political power already, a lot of support from the entrenced power structure, and first and foremost, she is driven by political ambition. Obama is an outsider. He is not someone who comes from privelege…he has dedicated a great deal of his life to working with the disadvantaged face to face. He is truly a person who is in no way betrothed to the political system as yet.
