Do you remember s&h green stamps and the things that could be bought with them?
We used to have a drawer that was just for green stamps and every so often my mother would sit down and paste them into books. She used a sponge to moisten them but when I helped I licked them and had a green tongue for several days. I remember that mom gat a hair drier with them and some lamps and I know that she got several other things but I can’t remember what all she did get. There was a gas station close by that gave one of those big stamps worth ten of the little ones for every dollar’s worth of gas you bought and cars used to line up at that place especially if they had double stamp day. Gas was cheap back then and I think that a lot of people went out and purposely drove off some gas so they could get more stamps.
